|Because of cooking oil’s high auto-ignition temperatures of anything up to 360oc, these fires are notoriously
difficult to extinguish. Conventional extinguishers are simply not effective at dealing with this very real risk
and it can be dangerous to use them on this type of fire.
This is a wet chemical extinguisher that has been specifically developed to deal with cooking oils and fat fires.
It contains a specially formulated wet chemical which, when applied to the burning liquid, cools and emulsifies
|to prevent re-ignition. With its capability to fight fires in deep fat fryers of up to 75 litres capacity, it is ideal for many catering environments.
